
BUSSELTON KIDS TRIATHLON
The Busselton Kids Triathlon is the perfect way to introduce your kids to the exciting world of triathlon! Held as part of the iconic Busselton Festival of Triathlon, this fun and safe event is designed for children of all ages (7+) and abilities, offering a chance to swim, bike, and run in a supportive environment. Whether your child is a first-timer or has already caught the triathlon bug, the event builds confidence and encourages a healthy, active lifestyle. The event is not timed, and instead focuses on getting all participants through the finish line with a smile!
Surrounded by the vibrant festival atmosphere, it’s a day the whole family can enjoy.

Venue: Barnard Park, Busselton WA
Ages: 7-15 years as at 3/12/2024
Time: Packs collected and bikes racked between approx 6am and 7.15am on race day. Race begins approx. 7.30am and will run until approx 8.45am. Please see the event schedule and athlete guide closer to race day for final timing.

DISTANCES
Short Distance Kids Triathlon
100m swim, 2km cycle, 500m run
7 – 15 YearS old
The short distance includes the family wave which allows parents/guardians* of participants to swim alongside their child and assist in transition. Chaperones must wait in transition during the cycle leg, and then can join the child for the run leg and finish line moment. *Limit to one adult entry per registered child, adult must be 18 years or over to be included.
Long Distance Kids Triathlon
200m swim, 4km cycle, 1km run
10 – 15 yearS old
Kids who are more experienced and aged 12+ may be interested in competing in the Busselton Foreshore Triathlon instead. The Busselton Foreshore is a more competitive, timed event.

NOTE: Kids must be aged at least 7 years old as at 31/12/2024 to be eligible to participate. This race is not timed, and is for fun only. All kids who finish this race will receive a finishers medal.
